Through continuous academic exploration and experimentation in design, I have developed a deep interest in character design and have worked to refine it, establishing a unique visual identity known as KIMKUN. As a result of these efforts, I successfully took my first step as an artist by holding a two-person exhibition centered on character design in April 2024.

Rather than creating mere sculptural forms, I strive to convey specific emotions and narratives through the form, posture, and materiality of my characters. This approach allows viewers to project their own experiences and emotions onto the artwork, fostering a sensory and emotional connection with the piece. By doing so, I aim to deepen the meaning of the work and open up diverse possibilities for interpretation.

Moving forward, I plan to further explore creative and experimental projects, strengthening the branding of KIMKUN and expanding my work across various media and technologies. My goal is to engage with the times and effectively deliver social messages through my designs, growing as a designer who resonates with people on a profound level.
